Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and SetDip. They cover your use of the SetDip website, owner portal and tablet boards. By checking the box that says you agree and creating an account, you accept these Terms and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account.
The short version
- You must be 18 or older and using SetDip for a business.
- Your recipes and content stay yours. You let us store and show them so the service works.
- AI and allergen tags can be wrong. You are responsible for checking everything before your staff use it.
- Anyone with your tablet link can see your board.
- SetDip is free right now. We will never charge you without telling you the price first and getting your clear permission.
1. Who can use SetDip
You must be at least 18 years old and able to make a binding agreement. You must use SetDip for a business, not for personal or household use. If you create an account for a company, you confirm you have permission to accept these Terms for that company.
2. Your account
- Give us a real email address you check, and keep your password private.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in.
- Each account runs one business for now.
3. Your content
You own the recipes, photos, logos, checklists and other content you add. You give SetDip a limited permission to store, copy, process, translate and display that content only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to our AI provider and showing it on your tablet board. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they are removed.
You confirm you have the right to upload everything you add, and that it does not break anyone else's rights or the law. Do not upload private information about other people that they have not agreed to share, or sensitive information like Social Security numbers, bank details or health information.
4. AI features and food safety
You are responsible for your recipes and food safety. SetDip's AI reader, translations and allergen tags are tools to save time. They can misread handwriting, get amounts wrong, miss an ingredient or tag the wrong allergen. Review every recipe, step, translation and allergen tag before you save it and before your staff rely on it. SetDip is not a food safety, allergen or health code authority, and it does not replace your own training, labels or required food handler practices.
5. Tablet links are public
Your tablet board is reached through a link and is not password protected. Anyone with the exact link can view it. You decide who gets the link. Do not put passwords, private staff details or anything secret on your board.
6. Rules for using SetDip
You agree not to:
- break any law or use SetDip to harm anyone;
- upload viruses, spam or anything illegal, hateful or sexually explicit;
- try to get into other people's accounts or boards, or get around our security;
- overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or use the AI features for anything other than your business's recipes and checklists;
- resell SetDip or pretend to be SetDip.
7. Price and future paid plans
SetDip is free to use right now. If we add paid plans, we will show you the price, how often you will be billed, whether it renews automatically and how to cancel before you pay. We will only charge you after you separately and clearly agree to that plan. Paid plans that renew automatically can be canceled online, as easily as you signed up.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using SetDip at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing setdip11@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or puts the service or other people at risk. When possible we will warn you first and give you a chance to download your content. We may also change or stop offering parts of the service; if we shut SetDip down, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
9. No guarantees
We work hard to keep SetDip running and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we do not promise it will always be available, error free or right for your particular business. Keep your own copy of important recipes, and keep a printed backup in case your internet or tablet goes down.
10. Limit on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, SetDip is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, spoiled food or business interruption. Our total responsibility for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for fraud or intentional harm.
11. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against SetDip because of content you uploaded, how you used the service, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and losses that result, including reasonable legal fees.
12. Disagreements
If you have a problem, email us first and we will try to fix it within 30 days. These Terms are governed by California law. Any dispute that we cannot resolve together will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and both of us agree to those courts. Either of us may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above, and for important changes we will email you and show a notice in the owner portal before they take effect. If you keep using SetDip after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply. Where the law requires it, we will ask you to agree again.
14. Everything else
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about SetDip. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part right away, we do not give up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer this agreement without our permission.
15. Contact
